According to the latest data from shipping data company Kpler, although shipping activities in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are still ongoing, both critical waterways currently face high geopolitical risks. Before diplomatic signals from parties such as Iran, the United States, and Oman converge, shipping operators need to regard these waters as potential conflict zones and maintain a high level of vigilance. The data shows that in the Strait of Hormuz, a total of 7 vessels recently opted to transit through Iranian waters, but none followed the internationally recognized traffic separation scheme, reflecting the fragility of navigation order in that area. In the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, there has been a noticeable decline in shipping activity, with only 30 vessels recorded passing through recently, a significant decrease from the 41 vessels on July 31.
