Chongqing City has initiated a Level 3 emergency response to geological disasters, affecting 12 districts and counties including Wanzhou and Liangping.

According to the relevant provisions of the "Chongqing Geological Disaster Emergency Response Plan," starting from 16:00 on August 3, the Chongqing Earthquake Relief and Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Rescue Command decided, after consultation and assessment, to adjust the scope and level of the municipal geological disaster emergency response. Specifically, a level three emergency response for geological disasters has been initiated in Wanzhou District, Liangping District, Yunyang County, and Qianjiang District, while eight districts and countiesHechuan District, Beibei District, Fuling District, Zhongxian County, Fengdu County, Shizhu County, Kaizhou District, and Pengshui Countyhave been adjusted to a level three emergency response for geological disasters. Additionally, the level four emergency response for geological disasters that has been initiated for Liangjiang New Area, Qijiang District, Nanchuan District, Wansheng Economic Development Zone, Changshou District, Dianjiang County, Chengkou County, and Wulong District will remain in effect.
