Six brokerages, including Hongta Securities, Century Securities, GF Securities, Yongxing Securities, Guorong Securities, and Guoyuan Securities, collectively received regulatory fines. This marks the first batch of fines related to investment banking disclosed on the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) official website in 2026. Among them, three brokerages were fined only as entities, while the investment banking heads of Yongxing Securities, Guorong Securities, and Guoyuan Securities were also held accountable. According to the reporter's statistics, quality control deficiencies have become a common shortcoming across the investment banking industry, with violations exhibiting a layered characteristic in severity and a continued focus on downward accountability in regulatory affairs, representing a new trend in the regulation of brokerages' investment banking activities. Extending the statistical period, although the frequency of punishment for leading brokerages has significantly decreased, there are still brokerages that have been involved in major cases in recent years.
