The official commissioning and power generation of Unit 2 of the Guangdong Taipingling Nuclear Power Project by China General Nuclear Power Group marks the full completion and operation of the first phase of the "Hualong One" nuclear power project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The Unit 2 that has commenced power generation utilizes China's third-generation nuclear power technology "Hualong One," which has independent intellectual property rights. The localization rate of core equipment exceeds 90%, with an individual unit rated electric power of approximately 1200 megawatts.
