The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of a New Type of Power System". The plan proposes to strengthen the construction and renovation of urban distribution networks, orderly promote the standardized transformation of power supply and distribution facilities in old residential areas and urban villages, and accelerate the construction of supporting power grid projects for new residential communities. It aims to advance the governance of non-power grid direct supply residential areas and encourage eligible non-direct supply residential areas to hand over their power supply facilities to power supply enterprises. The plan also supports the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and promotes the construction and renovation of new rural power grids. It provides support for the power infrastructure construction in special areas such as counties, ethnic regions, and old revolutionary areas.
