Samsung Electronics' foundry business is expected to reach 100% utilization by the end of the year.

Samsung Electronics' Foundry business unit is expected to achieve 100% capacity utilization in the second half of this year. Currently, the utilization rate for this business is estimated to be between 70% and 80%. Given the existing order backlog and ongoing contract negotiations, it is widely believed both within and outside the company that reaching this target is almost certain. Analysts predict that non-memory businesses, including Foundry and System LSI, may turn profitable as early as the third quarter, and at the latest, by the fourth quarter.
