The Xinfeng River Reservoir in Heyuan, Guangdong will open its sluice gates to discharge water today at 5 PM.

Due to the impact of rainfall, the water level of the Xinfengjiang Reservoir, located in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, continues to rise and has currently reached 114.83 meters. To ensure flood control safety in the watershed and to fully utilize the reservoir's flood prevention and disaster mitigation benefits, more flood storage capacity will be released during the intermittent periods of rainfall to cope with the critical flood prevention period and the potential heavy rainfall brought by the subsequent typhoon "Baihaitun." The Xinfengjiang Reservoir will begin discharging water at 5 PM today.
