According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Counterpoint Research has stated that driven by continuous price increases from OEMs and a higher proportion of high-end models, global smartphone revenue in the second quarter of 2026 is expected to grow by 7% year-on-year. With strong demand for high-end models and widespread price increases from OEMs, the average selling price (ASP) of smartphones is projected to increase by 17% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026. Among major brands, Apple (AAPL.US) has the fastest revenue growth, with a year-on-year increase of 22%, setting a record for the highest revenue in the second quarter in its history; this achievement comes amid strong demand without adopting a price increase strategy. Samsung, holding a 16% revenue share, is positioned as the second globally in the second quarter of 2026, with its revenue growing by 9% year-on-year, boosted by strong growth in the North America (NAM) and Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets.
