The temperature in Tokyo is trending towards moderation, and Japan's electricity spot prices are declining.

Affected by the temperature drop in Tokyo and some other regions, electricity prices across Japan have decreased compared to a week ago. Data from the Japan Electric Power Exchange showed that on Monday, the spot price of electricity fell by 16% week-on-week, to 19.38 yen per kilowatt-hour. The Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts that the Tokyo area, which has the highest electricity consumption, will continue to experience lower temperatures this week; the maximum temperature on Tuesday is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperatures for the remainder of the week will remain between 30 and 31 degrees Celsius. Meteorological models indicate that high temperatures will concentrate in western Japan over the next few days, while eastern regions will experience temperatures close to or below the average level.
