Ministry of Water Resources: 18 rivers remain above warning levels, and local areas in Chongqing need to guard against mountain flood disasters.

As of 9 a.m. today, 18 rivers in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Yunnan, and other regions are still above warning levels; among them, the Hulan River in Heilongjiang Province remains above the guarantee level. According to forecasts, from August 3 to 5, affected by rainfall and upstream water flow, the Hulan River, a tributary of the Heilongjiang and Songhua Rivers, will experience flood events categorized by numbers. In the areas with heavy rainfall, small to medium rivers such as the Ogen River (a tributary of the Songhua River in Heilongjiang Province), the Huangshui River (a tributary of the Yongding River in Shanxi), the Qianyou River (a tributary of the Han River in Shaanxi), the Enyang River (a tributary of the Qujiang River in Sichuan), and the Long River (a tributary of the Yangtze River in Chongqing) may experience floods exceeding warning levels. From 8 a.m. on August 3 to 8 a.m. on August 4, there is a high possibility of mountain flood disasters in parts of northwestern Hubei, southeastern Shaanxi, and central Chongqing; among these, there is a very high possibility of localized mountain flood disasters in central Chongqing. The Ministry of Water Resources issued a red meteorological warning for mountain flood disasters at 8 a.m. today and maintained a blue flood warning, reminding the public in areas affected by heavy rainfall and floods to stay vigilant.
