On August 3, at the listing ceremony for five-year Chinese government bond futures held at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Wu Qing, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, stated that he will support the two regional index companies in strengthening cooperation, launching more indices based on Chinese assets, and promoting the development of more ETF products that are aligned with the Chinese modern industrial system within the markets of the two regions. He also emphasized the need to optimize the ETF product registration mechanism, jointly enhance the international influence of Chinese indices and assets, deepen cooperation in the futures markets of both regions, and support Hong Kong in launching more futures products priced in Renminbi, thereby building a more diversified asset ecosystem.
