A 5.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Hunuco region of Peru.

The National Geophysical Institute of Peru reported that a magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred at 20:42 local time on August 2, 53 kilometers northeast of Okeyaku in the province of Leoncio Prado, Hunuco Region. The depth of the earthquake was 152 kilometers. Currently, there are no reports of casualties or property damage.
