According to a report from the UK on August 1, UEFA has called for FIFA President Gianni Infantino to resign. If Infantino refuses, UEFA is prepared to initiate a vote of no confidence against him. It is understood that the dismissal process can be triggered if 43 of FIFA's 211 member associations vote in favor of the no-confidence vote, and UEFA has 55 member associations. This action by UEFA is due to Infantino's proposal to establish a subsidiary valued at $20 billion and to raise $4.2 billion by selling over 20% of the newly formed "FIFA Forward" program.
