As market volatility intensifies, billion-level private equity funds are accelerating their efforts to "turn over stones." According to the latest data from Private Equity Rank, over 600 securities-related private equity firms participated in A-share research activities in July, with a total of nearly 1,500 research instances. Among them, billion-level private equity funds were the most diligent in their research, particularly favoring the electronics industry. They believe that the release of market leverage risks is likely nearing its end, coupled with the upcoming intensive disclosure period of semi-annual reports from listed companies, making this an important window for low-level positioning. Interviews with reporters have revealed that since July, several billion-level private equity funds have initiated share buybacks, and as of the press date, most of the managers have completed their buyback actions. Data from Private Equity Rank shows that as of July 29, a total of 664 private securities investment fund managers have participated in A-share research activities since July, covering 280 stocks across 29 Shenwan first-level industries, with a total of 1,469 research instances. Among them, 58 billion-level private equity funds participated in A-share research activities, covering 125 stocks with a total of 306 research instances. Further analysis of the data reveals that out of 69 private equity firms with more than 5 research instances in July, 28 are billion-level private equity funds. Among them, Panjing Investment leads with 25 research instances, followed closely by Freshwater Spring with 20 research instances.
