Wildfires break out in many regions of Greece, with strong winds exacerbating the uncontrollable flames, which have now approached the capital, Athens.

Recently, wildfires have ignited in multiple regions of Greece. On August 1, one of the fires spread with the help of strong winds to the northwest of the capital, Athens, creating a critical situation. The Greek firefighting department reported that they have dispatched over 300 firefighters, 92 fire engines, 18 planes, and 7 helicopters to combat the blaze.
