The Spanish passenger plane's landing gear was damaged upon landing in Croatia.

On August 1, Croatia's Aviation, Maritime and Railway Accident Investigation Agency reported that a Spanish airline passenger aircraft sustained damage to its landing gear while landing at Split Airport that day, with no injuries reported. The investigation agency stated in a release on its website that at approximately 16:22 on the 1st, the Airbus A320 experienced a serious incident during its landing at Split Airport, resulting in damage to the front landing gear. The flight, which had departed from Madrid, carried a total of 172 passengers and 6 crew members, with no injuries. After the aircraft came to a halt, passengers were evacuated. According to local airport officials cited by the Croatian News Agency, the tire of the front landing gear of the aircraft burst. The runway, which had been temporarily closed following the incident, reopened at around 18:30 after the aircraft was moved.
