SK Hynix Cheongju P&T7 Clean Room will be put into operation three months ahead of schedule.

SK Hynix is accelerating the construction of its Pyeongtaek P&T7 advanced semiconductor packaging factory, and has advanced the start date of its first cleanroom by approximately three months. According to industry sources on July 23, SK Hynix is currently expecting to start using the first cleanroom at P&T7 in July 2027 at the earliest. The company had previously announced a target of October 2027. An industry source revealed, "SK Hynix recently started the bidding process for the shared facilities and infrastructure projects of the P&T7 cleanroom ahead of schedule. Internally, the company expects the cleanroom to be operational about a quarter ahead of the original plan." Some equipment-related bidding projects failed to attract bidders and are currently being reissued. Industry sources expect that all bidding work for shared facilities and infrastructure will be completed no later than August.
