Recently, some netizens exposed a report that seems to have been circulated internally by Tencent: during his tenure as the head of the WXG project team, a person named Ye leaked sensitive company information privately. He was dismissed by the company and blacklisted, never to be hired again. This incident stemmed from a year-end income screenshot that went viral on the internet. The screenshot showed that the employee's end-of-year income consisted of cash and stock rewards, totaling about 3.17 million, with the cash portion around 820,000 and the stock reward around 2.3559 million. Subsequently, some netizens discovered that the screenshot had a Tencent internal watermark, sparking controversy over salary leakage. After the incident escalated, Ye's internal meeting schedule was quickly cleared. It is reported that Ye received Tencent's highest performance rating "outstanding" twice in 2025, and this top performance was also a significant reason for him to receive a high year-end bonus.
