The national first-release commercial insurance new drug list has been added to the landing city of Qingdao.

According to the National Medical Insurance Bureau, recently, the Qingdao City's "Qin Island e-insurance" product has been updated and launched for sale on July 1, 2026. Products within the list of 10 innovative commercial insurance drugs are first included in the coverage of "Qin Island e-insurance", expanding the total number of special drugs and materials, including rare disease medications, to 33, covering cutting-edge treatment areas such as CAR-T therapy and malignant tumors. "Qin Island e-insurance" is the only city-specific commercial insurance with government guidance in Qingdao. From July 1, 2025 to the end of May 2026, a total of 8.48 million people have been insured with "Qin Island e-insurance", providing claims services to 135,400 insured individuals, with a total payout of 936 million yuan, including a total payout of 108 million yuan for special medications.
