In the first half of the year, Guangdong's GDP increased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year.

Data released by the Guangdong Statistical Office on July 23 showed that according to the unified accounting of regional GDP, Guangdong achieved a regional GDP of 7.2281 trillion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year in terms of constant prices. Among them, the value added of the primary industry was 224.894 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%; the value added of the secondary industry was 2.732761 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.7%; the value added of the tertiary industry was 4.27045 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.5%.
