The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Renewable Energy".
The National Development and Reform Commission, and the National Energy Administration have issued the "13th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy Development", which proposes the following main objectives for the development of renewable energy during the 13th Five-Year Plan period:
1. Total target: By 2030, the total consumption of renewable energy will reach around 1.8 billion tons of standard coal.
2. Electricity generation target: By 2030, the total installed capacity of renewable energy power generation will reach around 3.5 billion kilowatts, with an annual electricity generation of around 6 trillion kilowatt-hours; the total installed capacity of wind and solar power generation will reach over 2.8 billion kilowatts, with an installed capacity ratio of over 50%, and an annual electricity generation of over 4 trillion kilowatt-hours, making up 30% of the total electricity generation.
3. Non-electricity utilization target: By 2030, the total scale of non-electricity utilization of renewable energy will increase by 1.5 times compared to 2025, equivalent to around 150 million tons of standard coal.
4. Reliable substitution target: By 2030, the average confidence level of wind and solar power generation in the country will reach 8%, and the proportion of wind and solar power generation during peak load in summer, winter, and late evening will exceed 20%, increasing by about 10 percentage points. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the newly added reliable peak power generation capacity of renewable energy will exceed 300 million kilowatts.
