This morning, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security held a press conference. In the first half of this year, 6.95 million new jobs were created in urban areas, roughly the same as last year. The average urban survey unemployment rate was 5.2%, and the overall employment situation remained stable. From January to June, a total of 3.6 billion yuan was disbursed for unemployment insurance stabilization and return funds, 900 million yuan for one-time expansion subsidies, and 1.2 billion yuan for skills training subsidies.
