OpenAI CEO will introduce next generation artificial intelligence models to US officials.
Executives from OpenAI stated that the company's CEO Sam Altman plans to introduce the upcoming next generation artificial intelligence model to the Trump administration and US lawmakers next week, as the US is currently working on establishing a safety review process for cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems. Global Head of Public Affairs at OpenAI, Chris Lehane, stated on Tuesday that Altman's move comes as US officials are developing a framework for AI safety reviews, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Lehane said that part of Altman's meetings will focus on the company's new model series and how these models will impact work. "We believe this series of models will have some very interesting features, especially in terms of work and scaling of work," Lehane said at a briefing in Washington.
