Wen Siyao, Deputy Director of the Medical Services Management Department of the National Medical Insurance Administration, introduced at the "Promotion of High-Quality Development of the Home Care Services Industry" themed press conference that in order to encourage flexible employment personnel and those in new employment forms to participate in basic medical insurance and relieve everyone's worries about medical treatment, the National Medical Insurance Administration is planning to carry out special actions to solidly promote the expansion and improvement of medical security coverage. On one hand, the National Medical Insurance Administration will improve policies and measures, continuously promote the cancellation of household registration restrictions for flexible employment personnel in super large cities to participate in medical insurance at the medical location or place of residence, and support home care service platform companies to allow flexible employment home care service personnel to participate in employee medical insurance through a "personal voluntary + platform subsidy" payment method. At the same time, the National Medical Insurance Administration also encourages localities to include flexible employment personnel in the coverage of maternity insurance, to simultaneously participate in employee medical insurance and pay fees for maternity insurance, and to enjoy maternity insurance benefits as stipulated. On the other hand, it is important to strengthen publicity and mobilization efforts, encourage local adaptation, explore the establishment of medical insurance service stations to provide insurance consultation and payment guidance services for home care service and other flexible employment personnel, and collaborate with mass organizations, industry associations, platform companies, etc. to conduct periodic promotional activities, through videos, posters, case studies, etc., to help everyone better understand medical insurance policies and effectively enhance the sense of obtaining medical insurance benefits for relevant service personnel.
