A 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred south of Huancayo city in the Junin region of Peru.

According to information released by the Peruvian Geophysical Institute, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred south of Chupaca City in Huancayo Region, Peru at 9:24 pm local time on the 18th. The earthquake had a depth of 24 kilometers and was felt in the capital, Lima.
