The report shows that China's agricultural green development level continues to improve.

On July 18th, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the China Association for Agricultural Green Development released the "China Agricultural Green Development Report 2025". The report shows that by 2025, China's level of agricultural green development will continue to improve. The report mentions that in terms of agricultural resource conservation and protection, China's efficient water-saving agriculture will steadily progress by 2025. By the end of 2025, the application area of integrated water and fertilizer technology for grain and oil crops nationwide will exceed 88 million mu; in the past decade, the national annual agricultural water use and average irrigation water use per mu of arable land have decreased by 5.7% and 14.9% respectively. In terms of agricultural production environment quality, the efficiency of scientific fertilization, the efficiency of pesticide use, and the comprehensive utilization of straw have continued to improve. By 2025, the fertilizer utilization rate for the three major grain crops was 43.3%, an increase of 3.1 percentage points from 2020; the pesticide utilization rate for the three major grain crops was 45.0%, an increase of 4.4 percentage points from 2020; the national comprehensive utilization rate of straw has been stable at over 88%, and the accumulated area of straw returning to the fields has exceeded 400 million mu.
