Shanghai Aviation Exchange: Overall stable transportation demand this week, most routes see a fall in freight rates.
According to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, this week, the overall demand for China's export container transportation market is stable, with most of the long-haul routes experiencing a decrease in shipping rates and a slight drop in the composite index. According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, the export volume in June increased significantly by 27% year-on-year when denominated in US dollars, marking the strongest growth rate since October 2021; in the first half of the year, exports increased by 17.6% year-on-year, reaching a historical high, which shows that China's foreign trade is maintaining a good operating trend, benefiting the stable development of the Chinese export container transportation market. On July 17th, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange Research Institute released the Shanghai Export Container Comprehensive Freight Index at 3080.31 points, a decrease of 3.3% compared to the previous period.
