China Photovoltaic Industry Association is calling for industry experts to conduct special research in the field of space photovoltaics.

With the rapid development of aerospace technology and commercial aerospace, space photovoltaics, as the core energy source of spacecraft, is becoming a key technology supporting strategic tasks such as space exploration, satellite communication, and space solar power plants. At the same time, the expansion of new scenarios such as low-altitude economy and high-altitude drones also puts higher demands on the efficiency, light weight, and reliability of photovoltaic systems in extreme environments, driving the extension of space photovoltaics to aerospace integration applications. As a frontier area of deep integration of photovoltaics and aerospace, space photovoltaics is an important direction for China to seize the high ground of energy strategy and expand new spaces for photovoltaic applications. Developing lower-cost space photovoltaic technology to support future large-scale development of the space photovoltaic market requires the convergence of resources from various sectors such as photovoltaics, aerospace, and satellites to advance together. To this end, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association plans to openly solicit experts from all sectors to jointly carry out policy research, technological breakthroughs, standard formulation, and other work in the space photovoltaic industry.
