Jiangsu power grid's electricity load breaks historical records, Suzhou ranks first among cities nationwide.

At 11:15 on the 16th, the highest electricity consumption of Jiangsu power grid reached 157.59 million kilowatts, breaking the historical extreme value. This is the first time since the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" that Jiangsu power grid has rewritten the load record, and the highest electricity consumption of Jiangsu power grid has exceeded one billion for 10 consecutive years. Driven by high temperatures, Jiangsu's electricity consumption has been steadily increasing. As of noon on July 16, four cities including Suzhou, Changzhou, Nantong, and Taizhou have successively set new historical highs for total electricity consumption. Among them, the highest electricity consumption of Suzhou power grid reached 35.835 million kilowatts, ranking first in the country's prefecture-level cities in terms of load scale.
