A boat smuggling migrants sank near the coast of Libya, with at least 50 people dead or missing.

Libyan law enforcement authorities said that a boat carrying illegal immigrants capsized earlier this week in the waters near the island of Barda off the eastern Libyan city of Tubruq, resulting in at least 50 deaths or disappearances, with only 10 survivors swimming to the island.
