National Health Insurance Administration: 28 provinces promote the implementation of hospital delivery within the scope of the maternity insurance policy with "no co-payment" for individuals.
The National Medical Insurance Administration actively guides local areas to continue optimizing the maternity insurance system policy, strengthen the coverage of maternity medical expenses, and promote that within the scope of maternity insurance policy, there is no personal payment for hospital delivery. As of July 10th, 278 pilot areas in 28 provinces have implemented measures based on local conditions and classified in a layered manner to ensure that insured female workers do not have to pay out-of-pocket for medical expenses related to hospital delivery that comply with the regulations on medical insurance catalogs, designated medical institutions, and payment.
