With the continued boom in artificial intelligence investments driving the demand for chip manufacturing equipment, ASML (ASML.O) has raised its full-year sales forecast for the second time this year. The company said on Wednesday that it expects net sales for the year to reach 43-45 billion euros, up from the previous estimate of 36-40 billion euros in April. With tech giants like Microsoft, Alphabet, and others investing billions of dollars in building advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure, chip manufacturers are rapidly expanding their production capacity. Meeting market demand is one of the key challenges for ASML CEO Peter Wennink. ASML previously stated its plans to produce at least 60 Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems this year, with the goal of having the capacity to produce at least 80 EUV systems annually by 2027. In addition, ASML is continuing to expand its production capacity with a new campus in Eindhoven, Netherlands, which is expected to start construction this quarter and will eventually accommodate around 20,000 employees.
