There is heavy rain in some areas of Longzhong and Longdong of Gansu.
Reporters learned from the Gansu Provincial Meteorological Bureau that from the afternoon of the 13th to the 14th, there will be heavy rain in some areas of Longzhong and Longdong in Gansu, with hourly rainfall of 40 to 70 millimeters. This heavy precipitation process overlaps with the previous precipitation area, and precautions need to be taken against secondary disasters that may be triggered by heavy rainfall.
The Gansu Provincial Meteorological Observatory predicts that from the afternoon of the 13th to the 14th, there will be heavy rain in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Lanzhou City, Baiyin City, the southern part of Wuwei City, and the northern part of Qingyang City, accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds, and short-term heavy rainfall. The main period of heavy rainfall is mainly concentrated from the evening of the 13th to the 14th, with a maximum accumulated rainfall of 60 to 80 millimeters, locally exceeding 100 millimeters. Gansu successively issued a blue warning for mountain flood meteorological risks and a yellow warning for geological disaster meteorological risks.
The Gansu Provincial Meteorological Bureau reminds that this heavy rainfall will present characteristics of strong local intensity, heavy hourly rainfall, large cumulative rainfall, and high overlap with the previous precipitation area, leading to a high risk of disasters. Precautions need to be taken to prevent disasters such as floods in small and medium-sized rivers, mountain floods, geological disasters, and urban inundation that may be triggered by heavy rainfall.
