According to informed sources, Germany is funding Ukraine to purchase 50,000 attack drones, some of which have already been delivered, with the rest to be delivered within the year. Reuters reported on the 12th, citing anonymous sources, that the order involves the "Skybird" first-person view attack drones produced by the Ukrainian company "Heavenly Drones". This model is equipped with software developed by the American defense company Othryne, which can autonomously track and hit moving targets in the final stages of flight. Othryne's CEO, Lorenz Meyer, confirmed the size of the order, stating that the total value of the order is approximately 90 million euros and is funded by a European country. He told Reuters that part of the order has been delivered, with the remainder to be completed within the year. "Heavenly Drones" confirmed that Germany is funding this order, but declined to comment on specific details. The German and Ukrainian defense ministries have both refused to comment on the matter.
