The Water Yangtze River, a tributary of the Yangtze River in the lower reaches, experienced the second flood in 2026.

Due to rainfall, the water level at the Xinhzhuang hydrometric station on the Yangtze River downstream tributary rose to the warning level at 1:20 am on July 13th. According to the regulations for major river flood codes, this flood is designated as "Xinyang River 2nd flood of 2026". Currently, a working group from the Ministry of Water Resources is on the front line of flood defense in Anhui Province to provide assistance and guidance.
