The Ministry of Water Resources has raised the emergency response level for flood prevention in Zhejiang and Fujian provinces to level III.
Affected by Typhoon "Bawi", from July 11th to 12th, there will be heavy to torrential rain in the northern and central parts of Fujian, and in most parts of Zhejiang; the Qiantang River, Cao'e River, Ou River, Yong River, Jiao River, Min River and other rivers will experience significant water level rise, with the possibility of some major rivers such as the Qiantang River, Yong River, and Jiao River experiencing severe flooding. Some small and medium-sized rivers within the heavy rain area may also experience significant flooding, with extremely high risks of flash floods in some areas. According to the "Regulations on Emergency Response for Flood Control and Drought Relief" of the Ministry of Water Resources, the flood prevention and emergency response level for Zhejiang and Fujian was raised to level III at 12:00 on July 11th.
