Beijing Guanting Reservoir continues to carry out pre-release, with an additional 170 million cubic meters of storage space reserved.

Just now, the journalist learned from the Beijing Water Bureau that, based on this year's meteorological forecast and hydrological analysis, the Guanting Reservoir Management Office in Beijing has deployed in advance. On the basis of the flood limited water level, the reservoir pre-release was started from May 27th to reserve sufficient storage space for incoming water. Considering the conditions of the downstream river channel, the pre-release flow rate is 84.9 cubic meters per second. As of 8:00 on July 11th, the reservoir has reserved an additional 170 million cubic meters of storage capacity below the flood limited water level to cope with subsequent heavy rainfall and ensure downstream safety.
