Guangxi Hengzhou Qingjiang Watergate flood discharge has relocated 132 people.
Around 9 p.m. on July 10th, the Water Resources Bureau of Hengzhou City in Guangxi issued a notice stating that due to a large difference in water levels on either side of the Qingjiang Water Gate, estimated to be about 9 meters, there were vibrations felt in the main structure of the water gate and its safety could not be guaranteed. In order to ensure the safety of the people and their property along the Qingjiang River, passage on the embankment road was prohibited. Residents of villages and communities living in low-lying areas upstream of the Qingjiang Water Gate were advised to evacuate promptly. It was reported that in order to ensure the safety of residents along the Qingjiang River during flood discharge, local authorities started relocating 132 people from 28 households in Qingjiang Village of Hengzhou Town to Qingjiang Primary School relocation site around 4 p.m. on July 10th. On July 11th, it was noted from the Water Resources Bureau of Hengzhou City that the water level had decreased by 52 centimeters from 8 p.m. on July 10th to 9 a.m. on July 11th, and the current situation of the water gate is stable.
