The official website of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was recently updated to show that Chen Wei has been appointed as a member of the Party Group and Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Chen Wei was born in February 1966, holds a medical doctorate, and is a biosecurity expert. She is a representative of the 12th and 14th National People's Congress, a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the Vice Chairman of the 10th National Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology.
