Radiation material investigation report contains hundreds of errors and the Japanese government claims it has no impact on health.
The government of Ehime Prefecture in Japan announced on the 10th that a total of 271 errors were found in the investigation of radioactive substances in the water and soil around the Ikata Nuclear Power Plant operated by Shikoku Electric Power Company in Iyo Town, Ehime Prefecture, from the fiscal year 2008 to 2025. Local government officials stated that the errors will not have any impact on the environment or human health. The head of Ehime Prefecture expressed deep apologies for the errors and stated that measures such as introducing automated data transcription will be considered in the future to prevent similar problems from happening again.
