National Energy Administration: The proportion of non-fossil energy consumption is expected to increase by approximately 1 percentage point annually by 2028.

The National Energy Administration issued the "Energy Sector Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Action Plan". By 2028, the share of non-fossil energy consumption will increase by approximately 1 percentage point annually; efforts will be made to increase the proportion of coal-fired power generation at the current energy efficiency benchmark level by 15 percentage points; a number of zero-carbon and low-carbon coal mines and oil fields will be built; support will be provided for the construction of a number of zero-carbon industrial parks, with significant progress in energy saving and carbon reduction in key industries and continuous improvement in green energy efficiency.
