Forest fire in southern Spain kills 6 people

The government of Andalusia, in southern Spain, confirmed early on the 10th that a forest fire occurred in Los Galianos, Almeria Province on the afternoon of the 9th, resulting in 6 deaths. The Andalusian emergency services department said that they received a fire alarm at around 17:00 local time on the 9th, and the fire spread rapidly to the nearby town of Bedar. The local government activated the emergency plan for forest fires, urgently evacuating residents of Bedar and surrounding communities and closing some roads. Rescuers later found 6 victims near the fire, with many of them found in burned vehicles. Currently, ground and aerial forces are still fighting the fire. The local government stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
