Peg Bio announcement: On July 8, 2026, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. NASDAQ listed company Rani Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. According to the memorandum of understanding, the two parties plan to leverage Rani's proprietary RaniPill oral biologic drug delivery platform to conduct oral formulation screening and preclinical development around Peg Bio's multiple innovative candidate assets for obesity and metabolic diseases. The goal is to advance the most promising candidate projects into clinical development, and further explore research, production, and commercialization cooperation in markets outside of China.
