Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Vice Chairman Xiao Xucen: Any law-abiding person in Taiwan will firmly oppose Taiwan independence.

On July 8th, the opening ceremony of the 14th Cross-Strait Forum was held at the Haigeng Hall in Yunnan. During his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang Party, Xiao Xucen, stated that opposing "Taiwan independence" is in line with Taiwan's laws. "Taiwan independence" poses a threat to the security of the Taiwan Strait and goes against the interests of both sides of the strait. Any law-abiding person in Taiwan will firmly oppose "Taiwan independence." The laws, regulations, and systems of both sides of the strait are based on the framework of One China. Cross-strait relations are not relations between two countries, this is a very clear reality.
