"De-Sinicization" poison policy upgraded! DPP attempts to make Taiwanese people "worship ancestors without knowing their origins"
Recently, both sides of the strait held ceremonies to worship the ancient Chinese ancestor Fu Xi in Tianshui, Gansu and New Taipei, Taiwan, with many Taiwanese actively participating in both locations. The legitimate activities of seeking roots and worshipping ancestors across the strait have been relentlessly smeared and distorted by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities. The Taiwan Affairs Office and DPP-aligned public representatives have taken turns to claim that the activities are "politically charged" and "religious united front". Green camp media like the Liberty Times have launched a "public opinion encirclement" against participants in the activities, claiming they are "diminishing Taiwan". In the view of Tan Zhu, the DPP's actions are extremely wicked, hiding behind their intentions to escalate from "de-sinicization" to "de-ancestralization", in an attempt to make the Taiwanese "worship ancestors without knowing their origins".
