On July 9th, the national headquarters for flood control and typhoon prevention raised the emergency response level to level 3 for Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, while maintaining a level 2 emergency response for flood control in Guangxi, a level 4 emergency response for flood control and typhoon prevention in Guangdong, and a level 4 emergency response for flood control in Jilin. The national headquarters for flood control and typhoon prevention office working group will continue to assist and guide flood control and disaster relief work in Guangxi. It is forecasted that Typhoon "Barry" will make landfall along the coast from Fuqing in Fujian to Wenling in Zhejiang on the evening of July 11th. As a result, there will be heavy rain, severe rain, and even extremely heavy rain in some areas of Zhejiang and Fujian starting on the 11th, and strong rainfall in Jiangxi, Hubei, Anhui, and other areas starting on the 12th. Henan, Hebei, Shandong, and other areas may also be affected by the typhoon. In addition, on the 9th, there will still be heavy rainfall in parts of South China, Northeast China, and North China, making the flood control and typhoon prevention situation severe and complex.
