The Nuclear Regulation Authority of Japan reported on the 9th that Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima Daiichi and Daini nuclear power plants had improperly managed classified information on counter-terrorism, allowing non-cleared personnel to easily access relevant information. The Nuclear Regulation Authority of Japan said that these two nuclear power plants had multiple classified documents related to counter-terrorism measures, which should have been strictly managed according to regulations and stored in designated locations for access by cleared personnel only. However, upon inspection, it was found that the counter-terrorism classified documents were stored in shared folders on computers in various departments, allowing unauthorized personnel to view them. According to the Nuclear Regulation Authority of Japan, there have been no reports of leakage of classified information at this time, and further investigations will be conducted to determine the cause of the information management loophole.
