The Ministry of Public Security released the latest data on July 9. So far this year, public security organs across the country have investigated over 1,900 cases of cyber hacking crimes, over 8,000 cases of spreading online rumors, closed down more than 23,000 illegal accounts, and cleaned up over 500,000 pieces of illegal harmful information.
