Ministry of Water Resources: Be prepared for floods in the coming two days in the Pearl River, Hai River, Songhua River and other river basins.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, at present, the main rivers in the middle and lower reaches of the Xijiang River from Guiping, Guangxi to Deqing, Guangdong, as well as the Yijiang River and other tributaries, are all above warning levels. The second flood peak of the Xijiang River is passing through the Gaoyao section, and the first flood of the Taoer River, a tributary of the Nen River, occurred in 2026. Due to the impact of rainfall in the next two days, there will be significant water level rises in the rivers along the coast of southern Guangxi in the Zhujiang River basin, the Yuanjiang River in Yunnan, the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River, including the Da Bei main stream, the Luan River, North Sanhe River, and Yongding River in the Haihe River basin, as well as the Liaohe River, Hun River, Taizi River, and the Jilin section of the Songhua River in the Songliao River basin. Some small and medium-sized rivers in the heavy rainfall areas may experience flooding above warning levels. The Ministry of Water Resources will maintain an orange flood warning for the Xijiang River basin. Residents in relevant areas of Guangxi, Guangdong, and other areas with heavy rainfall are reminded to take precautions.
