Support from 9 departments to accelerate innovation and development in the retail industry.

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on July 9th, the Ministry of Commerce and 9 other departments issued opinions on accelerating the innovation and development of the retail industry. Among them, it was proposed that by 2030, a modern retail system with reasonable layout, high-quality supply, diverse formats, smart and convenient services, and orderly competition would be basically formed. The goal is to create a number of influential retail scenes, launch innovative formats, cultivate retail enterprises with international competitiveness, promote good practices and experiences in retail, making offline retail a place for shopping, leisure, immersive experiences, entertainment and socializing, while online retail becomes a place for rich products, high quality, and standardized operations.
